Here’s What Atlanta is Bringing to CES 2017 – On our Radar: POMM

CES2017-2

Despite a reputation as a B2B town, Atlanta had a strong showing at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. With LUMA, Mercedes-Benz’s new ATL HQ, LifeQ, Wahoo Fitness and others exhibiting, our city attracted great attention as a growing B2C tech hub.

This year is shaping up to be no different.

CES 2017 kicks off on January 5 with exciting product launches, tech exhibitions and of course, hints of what is to come over the coming months. Though ATL will be well-represented by local giants UPS and Turner Broadcasting, on our radar at the moment are the innovative Atlanta-based startups that will represent our emerging B2C scene — from cybersecurity to eco-design.

On Our Radar

Intelligent lighting producer Sengled is already making waves. This CES veteran grabbed the 2017 CES Best of Innovation Honoree in the Smart Home product category.

“Our goal is to provide consumers the most reliable, convenient and energy efficient lighting solutions possible while reducing complexity, and both Pulse Link and Element, build on that principal,” said Johnson Shen, CEO of Sengled in a press release. “We are thrilled to have our innovative, high-quality products recognized by CES, the most prestigious, respected awards for consumer electronics.”

We’re also watching:

  • ATDC’s Pointivo — the only technology that captures dimensionally accurate 3D models and measurements of any scene or structure using just a smartphone video camera.
  • POMM (Privacy On My Mind) — producer of the world’s first rechargeable battery protective case with local built-in massive secured depository, providing storage of well-organized, multiple types of data and files.
  • Zyrobotics —addresses the need for accessible and affordable therapy at home through the development of a robot neurorehabilitation platform.
  • J5Create — provides innovative products to simplify everyday tasks and encourage more efficient computing experience.

Last year, CES hosted over 170,000 international attendees to experience technology innovation spread. Stay tuned for our upcoming recap on this year’s announcements and surprises.
